Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our Estates & Facilities housekeeping and soft services, delivering safe, patient-centred environments across trust sites.

You will manage a multi-disciplinary team, drive infection prevention, food safety and budgetary controls, and work closely with clinical colleagues to support high standards of cleanliness and wellbeing for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Management qualification (Level 4) required.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene certification required.
• IOSH qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Housekeeping Supervisors, Team Leaders and Facilities staff.
• Ensure compliance with national standards, CQC requirements and infection prevention standards.
• Manage staff recruitment, induction, training, attendance, performance and development.
• Oversee food safety, allergen management, nutrition and hydration services.
• Monitor budgets, expenditure, stock control and value-for-money initiatives.
• Manage service quality, respond to complaints and implement service improvements.
