Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is seeking a Grant Funding Programme Manager to shape and deliver our healthcare funding portfolio at Great Ormond Street Hospital. You’ll work with clinical and senior hospital colleagues to understand needs, develop new funding schemes, and turn ambitious ideas into investments that benefit children, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Extensive grants management experience with funding schemes and peer review.
• Interest in healthcare funding across clinical transformation and staff support.
• Experience delivering complex projects within grants management, healthcare, or research.
• Ability to review proposals, challenge constructively, and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience presenting papers and recommendations to executive-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic areas of our healthcare funding portfolio and inform decision making.
• Review funding proposals with senior clinical colleagues and shape programmes with clear outcomes.
• Design funding schemes and establish governance for success.
• Assess proposals for need, fit, deliverability, sustainability and impact.
• Prepare recommendations and present to the Grants & Impact Committee and Trustees.
• Manage programmes through lifecycle from application to evaluation and learning.
• Build relationships across hospital and charity while ensuring robust funding decisions.
• Stay informed on healthcare developments to unlock innovation.
