Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Mechanical Multi Skilled Technician to maintain building services across healthcare facilities. The role focuses on operation, safety, and efficient performance of mechanical systems within Parkhead Hub and related sites.

The role requires relevant qualifications (HNC, Apprenticeship or City & Guilds) and extensive maintenance experience. NHS benefits include pension, annual leave, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of building services maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Strong health and safety procedure knowledge.
• Experience in healthcare environments desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in operation and maintenance of building services.
• Maintain safe and efficient systems of work across all building services.
• Deliver planned maintenance, repair and installation services for mechanical systems.
• Inspect plant and equipment, diagnose faults and recommend repairs.
• Liaise with managers regarding impact of faults on wards and services.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and document all activities.
• Undertake minor alterations to existing services and manage daily workload.
