Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking a Domestic Services Supervisor to supervise and train domestic and deep cleaning staff, organise rotas, and monitor quality through audits and IT systems.

You’ll develop staff through supervision, training and performance reviews, ensuring health and safety compliance, managing stock and records, and supporting a seven-day rota with a focus on infection control and COSHH.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent in supervision, cleaning and support services, or customer care.
• Functional skills English Level 2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and develop domestic and deep clean teams daily.
• Organise rotas and work plans, including sickness cover.
• Monitor quality via audits, ward visits and IT systems.
• Manage staff through supervision, PDRs and conduct/discipline.
• Deliver induction and ongoing training; train equipment use.
• Ensure cleaning meets health and safety and infection control standards.
• Act as liaison for staff and service users; resolve problems.
• Review SOPs and take corrective action on complaints.
• Manage stock and consumables; report overtime and clocking.
• Maintain accurate records for services; review products.
