Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Healthcare Cleaners to maintain high cleanliness standards across wards and clinical areas. The role supports safe, patient-centered care with core duties including curtain changes, damp wipe-downs and maintaining schedules.

Temporary/ongoing contracts and induction training provided. Posts are part-time, Monday to Friday, 3:30pm-8:00pm, with opportunities for development and benefits such as employee assistance and

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning principles; manual handling techniques.
  • Infection control guidance and health & safety policies knowledge desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare setting preferred.

  • Deliver cleaning duties across wards and clinical areas.
  • Maintain highest cleaning standards observing NHS cleanliness specifications.

Job description

Our Domestic Services Department pride ourselves on the high standards of cleanliness throughout our services. Healthcare Cleaners are a valued member of the Healthcare Team and are respected for the work they do. Healthcare Cleaners provide a range of cleaning duties across the Trust and support services to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service to all patients, staff and visitors is delivered. Variety of hours available to include: 2 posts available - Monday - Friday 3:30pm-8pm Candidates who have applied for this vacancy within the last 3 months and were unsuccessful at any stage of the recruitment process should not reapply unless you can demonstrate additional relevant skills, qualifications or experience acquired since your previous application. Main duties of the job Basic knowledge of cleaning standards which can include wards, outpatient /clinical areas. You must be able to work alone or as part of a team. If you are proactive and think you can help us to maintain our standards and contribute to the positive experience of our patients, we would like to invite you to apply. Deliver the highest standards of cleaning service to the ward at all times observing work schedules and The National Specifications for cleanliness in the NHS requirements. Changing curtains, screen and bed curtains. Damp wiping of all furniture, fixtures and fittings, ledges, pipes, tiles, glass partition, walls, doors and panels, internal window blinds The successful candidates will receive full induction training.
