Job summary

Compass Group UK&I in Matlock is seeking an ambitious Chef to join our healthcare division on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). You will prepare and serve high-quality meals, support menu changes, and help create innovative concepts that brighten residents’ and visitors’ days.

The role requires a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, a Food Hygiene certificate, and experience supervising a team. Flexibility in shifts and a passion for exceptional food will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ required.
• Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Support creation of new menus and concepts.
• Represent Compass and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene.
