Job summary

Practice Plus Group Holdings Limited is seeking a Building Services Engineer for our Portsmouth hospital estates team. You will support safe, compliant operation of critical healthcare infrastructure, covering electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building services.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, monitor with the BMS, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise on-site contractors. A structured on-call rota and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments preferred.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical, mechanical and building services.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across building services incl. HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Inspect and maintain plant and equipment, identify faults and actions to maintain safety and service continuity.
• Complete installation, repair, replacement and minor refurbishment works.
• Use Building Management System (BMS) to monitor plant performance.
• Assist in ensuring statutory compliance (fire safety, water hygiene, electrical safety, COSHH, asbestos).
• Maintain maintenance records for audits and inspections.
• Manage on-site contractors, permits-to-work and quality checks.
• Respond to faults and incidents; participate in on-call rota as required.
