Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Information Analyst (Band 5) to join the Business Intelligence Unit. The role focuses on delivering accurate information and actionable insights to support patient care and operational decisions.

Hybrid working arrangements apply after a qualifying period. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, good data quality focus, and solid experience with Excel and SQL, as well as the NHS data dictionary concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent educational level.
• Ability to present information accurately to a wide range of audiences.
• Intermediate SQL and Excel skills.
• Understanding NHS Data Dictionary including datasets and data standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to the organisation and external stakeholders.
• Work with clinicians and senior managers to understand requirements and develop reporting tools.
• Interrogate large volumes of complex data and turn it into intelligence.
• Highlight data quality issues and take corrective action.
