Job summary

Skycare in Woodchurch, near Birkenhead, is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join a purpose-built 82-bed nursing home offering dementia care. Full-time positions (33–44 hours weekly) with salary £12.71–£12.82 per hour, sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player.

• Previous experience of working in a Nursing home is mandatory.
• Experience with dementia, brain injury and nursing.

• Clear DBS and 2 satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living.
• Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual.
• Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity.
• Observe care planning needs for Residents and complete daily records as instructed.
• Assist in social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre.
• Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required.
• Attend to doors and phone calls appropriately and pass on messages promptly.
• Report on well-being of Residents.
• Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles.

Located conveniently in Woodchurch, just outside Birkenhead, this Care Home is a purpose-built care home with 82 beds, which offers nursing dementia care.

The home's caring team has created a family atmosphere, encouraging everyone to eat and celebrate special occasions together. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with small items of their own furniture and treasured belongings so that it feels just like home. Daily life is thoughtfully designed to support mind, body and soul.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time, hours: 33- 44 per week

Salary: £12.71 -£12.82 per hour

Please NOTE we are not able to provide sponsorship, we do need only care assistants able to work full-time ( 33-44 hours per week)
