Job summary

Skycare in Woodchurch near Birkenhead is hiring Healthcare Assistants to join our nursing home. This permanent, full-time role offers 33–44 hours per week with shifts day and night. Earn £12.71–£12.82 per hour and become part of a supportive team dedicated to resident wellbeing.

You will support residents with daily living, assist with care needs, and uphold dignity while following care plans. DBS and two references required; sponsorship not provided; right to work in the UK essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with the relevant service in a nursing home is mandatory.
• Experience with dementia, brain injury and nursing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of care by supporting and assisting residents with daily living.

Healthcare assistants to join our Nursing home

Located conveniently in Woodchurch, just outside Birkenhead, this Care Home is a purpose-built care home with 82 beds, which offers nursing dementia care.

The home's caring team has created a family atmosphere, encouraging everyone to eat and celebrate special occasions together. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with small items of their own furniture and treasured belongings so that it feels just like home. Daily life is thoughtfully designed to support mind, body and soul.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time, hours: 33- 44 per week

Salary: £12.71 -£12.82 per hour

Please NOTE we are not able to provide sponsorship, we do need only care assistants able to work full-time ( 33-44 hours per week)

Responsabilities include:

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living
• Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual
• Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity
• Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed
• Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre
• Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required
• Answer the door and telephone appropriately
• Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly
• Report on well-being of Residents
• Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc
