We’re looking to recruit passionate and committed individuals across our teams at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. There are both full-time and part-time positions available, on a permanent contract.

Main duties of the job

1. Work on a flexible basis to support ward/department teams throughout the Trust in delivering care.
2. Monitor patients and perform basic health checks.
3. Serve meals and assist in feeding patients.
4. Provide support to patients to maintain their hygiene needs, including bathing/washing, care of mouth, hair, nails, and eyes.
5. Support patients with their elimination needs, such as encouraging continence, emptying urinary catheter bags, mobilising to the toilet or using a bedpan or commode, and maintaining hygiene after episodes of incontinence.
