The Meriden Hospital in Coventry, part of Circle Health Group, is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Pre Assessment team on a 37.5-hour permanent basis. You will support patients with hygiene, mobility and daily living tasks.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility and daily living tasks.
• Support eating and nutritional intake and document intake where appropriate.
• Record routine observations such as BP, pulse, respiration, temp, oxygen saturation and glucose (after training).
• Report concerns to the Registered Nurse or clinician promptly.
• Maintain accurate records on appropriate systems.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including PPE and cleaning standards.

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Pre Assessment department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
• Report any concerns about a patient's condition or wellbeing promptly to the Registered Nurse or relevant clinician.
• Record care provided and patient observations clearly and accurately on appropriate documentation systems or electronic health records.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and environmental cleaning standards.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
