Circle Health Group is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join the Wards team at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern and a salary of up to £36,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

You will lead nursing care for complex patients, administer medications, and work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care and strong patient experience across shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in acute or relevant clinical setting.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely decisions and escalate where necessary.
• Administer medication safely and monitor patient response in line with NMC and local protocols.
• Delegate tasks to ensure safe workload management across the shift.

Senior Registered Nurse - Wards The Meriden Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £36,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our friendly and motivated team of staff working on the hospitals Wards.

This is a full time role at 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary
• Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols
• Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe and effective workload management across the shift
• Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures
• Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making
• Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions between services

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration
• Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team
• Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach
• Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role desirable
