Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Newquay is inviting applications for Healthcare Assistants and Care Support Assistants. Roles are offered at band 2 or band 3 depending on experience, with duties to support Registered Nurses on Inpatients.

This is a permanent contract. The post requires flexibility to cover nights 19:30–08:00 and long days 07:30–20:00 on a rotational basis to deliver 24-hour nursing care.

Job description

This role will be based on Newquay Inpatients.

This role will require the post holders to be committed to the ongoing development of the wards and multi disciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care., To assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses.

• To carry out care/other duties under indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Senior Healthcare Assistant.
• Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a manner sensitive to the individual client's needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights and beliefs at all times.
• Contribute to resource management within the clinical area.

Permanent contracts available, undertaking a range of Night duties 19:30- 08:00 and Long days 07:30 - 20:00 on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week.
