Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants in Buchlyvie. This role offers sessional work across community clinics, GP surgeries and wider primary care services, giving you the flexibility to choose shifts that fit your experience and weekly availability.

You will support patient assessments, basic clinical tasks and help maintain an efficient clinic, with full DBS enhanced; weekday, evening or weekend shifts available and opportunities for ad-hoc or regular bookings.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial
• Confident in carrying out standardised clinical tasks
• Strong communication and time-management abilities
• Comfortable adapting to new clinical environments
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting routine treatment room procedures
• Carrying out ECGs and basic health checks
• Performing phlebotomy if trained
• Assisting with patient education and lifestyle advice
• Updating clinical notes accurately in service systems
• Providing general clinical support to nurses and GPs
