Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Saltburn By The Sea. This role suits a proactive HCA to assist with routine clinical duties and patient care.

You will perform observations, assist in the treatment room, undertake phlebotomy if trained, and help with patient assessments and health promotion. Enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
