Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Orpington. The role focuses on clinical duties, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity within a structured primary care environment.

You will assist with patient flow, routine clinical tasks and ensure high-quality care delivery with support and clear guidance for smooth sessions.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
