Locum Ready is seeking a proactive Healthcare Assistant to work in a GP practice in Lowestoft. You will support the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity in a structured primary care environment.

You will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high‑quality care delivery, with strong support and clear guidance to ensure every session runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.

Requirements

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS
