Job summary

Optimum Care Group in Bangor is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join their health and social care team at Abbey View. This full-time role offers daytime or night shifts and an hourly rate of £12.81.

You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, meals, and maintain accurate paperwork, while adhering to policies. Benefits include paid training, free uniform, on-site parking, and pension, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary
• Kitchen or laundry experience in work or a voluntary setting
• Be registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
• Experience within a paid Nursing Home or similar environment to include personal care experience

Responsibilities

• Personal Care- Assist with all daily living activities, for example, washing, dressing, toileting/incontinence and assisting with mealtimes. Follow guidelines for safe movement of clients, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
• Kitchen- All relevant kitchen related duties including basis meal preparation.
• Laundry- Washing, drying and ironing duties
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Complete all paperwork accurately.
• Communicate regularly with the line manager.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company.
• Obtain NISCC registration before employment and maintain during employment
• Adhere to the NISCC Codes of Practice
• Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times.
• Work as part of a team.
• Provide a quality service at all times.
