Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent health and wellbeing qualification required.
• Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis.
• Experience in dementia and hospital-level care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to residents under nurse guidance.
• Maintain and update resident healthcare records.
• Complete delegated tasks in a timely manner.

Job description

Hours of work: casual, as and when required

Pay Rate: $26.94 - $29.10 per hour - subject to completed caregiving qualification

NOTE: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for this role

About the Role

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Some Duties include but not limited to:

• Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
• Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
• Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
• Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
• Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes
• Career progression + assistance with Careerforce and NZQA qualifications

Skills and Experience

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience; OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent).
• Dementia and hospital-level care experience required
• Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
• People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
• Good written and verbal communication skills
