Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant within the Health in Justice team at HMP Whatton, a Category C men's prison in Nottinghamshire. You will support the registered nurse, carrying out agreed care plans with the patient at the centre, in a secure prison setting.

The role is a zero-hours bank contract with various shifts. Induction and competency development are provided, with additional vetting and security checks required to work in this environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo vetting and security checks.

Responsibilities

• Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care.
• Work with the patient in line with instructions and training received.
• Promote safe patient care.
• Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
