Job summary

Qualifications

• Holds Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or education equivalent.
• Experience working in a healthcare, social care setting or transferable service.
• New to care or shows keen interest in pursuing healthcare work.

Responsibilities

• Report changes in patients' physical or psychological needs to the registered practitioner.
• Provide support to the registered practitioner and ward/department team.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with patient transfers within scope of practice.
• Assist with personal care, nutrition and hydration as delegated by the practitioner.
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices and keep the ward clean and safe.
• Support the orientation and ongoing development of new staff and learners.
