Job summary

Claire House Surgery, managed by SSP Health, is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support day-to-day patient care in a busy GP surgery in the United Kingdom. The role includes phlebotomy, assisting with vaccinations, and the management of long-term conditions alongside the clinical team.

You will also help with chaperoning, handling lab samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring vaccine cold chain integrity, stock control, room preparation, and contributing to data collection for

Qualifications

• Exposure to phlebotomy procedures and clinical equipment.
• Experience with immunisation delivery is desirable.
• Familiarity with long-term condition management and patient data collection.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and contribute to vaccination delivery under supervision.
• Assist in management of long-term conditions.
• Chaperone duties and patient privacy during examinations.
• Process and manage laboratory samples as requested by GPs/nurses.
• Maintain clinical equipment and vaccine storage within cold chain protocols.
• Restock and monitor stock and equipment in consultation rooms.

Claire House Surgery is seeking a compassionate and proactive Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support the delivery of high-quality patient care within our busy GP surgery. Working strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care., Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual.

• Phlebotomy
• Working under a PSD to deliver vaccinations
• Management of Long Term Conditions
• Chaperoning duties
• Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
• Maintenance of clinical equipment
• Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
• Clinical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
• Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
• Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions
• Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
• Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
• Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
