A leading healthcare provider is seeking a healthcare assistant to join their clinical team. The role involves performing essential patient investigations and providing health education. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and relevant training in healthcare procedures.
A healthcare assistant will be a crucial member of the clinical team providing critical investigations and general health education to patients that help inform their care by our doctors and the way they look after themselves.
You will work as part of a supportive team who are passionate about patient care and the positive impact we can have on patients with brilliant people skills, an awareness of the community and various social prescribing opportunities.

Phoenix Family Practice is a large practice that cares for the population of Weybridge and neighbouring parts of Addlestone, Hersham and Walton.
We have a large team of around 70 staff including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, administrative staff and of course... Healthcare Assistants!
However, we are looking for someone fantastic to join us and further improve the service we can provide our patients.
A healthcare assistant at Phoenix Family Practice will be expected to undertake various clinical activities that support our patients' health and well being.
Confidence with healthcare vocabularly and a good understanding of the basics of physiology to be able to offer universal health advice confidently to patients when undertaking NHS Health Checks or to explain why procedures might be needed.
The ability to perform venepuncture is essential, with the confidence to take samples from multiple points on the body, as well as capillary blood tests for specific investigations.
Experience confidently fitting various investigative measurement devices, such as 12-Lead ECGs, BP Machines as well as more obvious devices like scales and measuring tapes!
Finally the ability to build a professional rapport with patients, to demonstrate confidence in your ability and ensure any investigations are comfortable and calm.
