Job summary

Gold Staff in Swindon is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants for ad-hoc shifts and long-term placements across care homes in Swindon and Wiltshire. You will provide high-quality care to residents, supporting daily living and ensuring comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months' care or support experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience (6 months minimum) in a care or support role is essential.
• A genuine passion for helping others delivering high-quality care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
• Shifts available for days, earlies, lates, longdays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Support clients in meal preparation and feeding as required.
• Monitor and document clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards.
• Build trusting relationships with clients, providing companionship and emotional support.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
