Job summary

TTL Recruit Ltd is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to deliver high-quality care within care homes and home care settings. You will assist with daily activities, support care plans, and help ensure client wellbeing while developing your skills in the healthcare sector.

The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, in person at various locations across the United Kingdom. A valid Enhanced DBS and Moving and Handling certification are required, with driving license preferred

Qualifications

• Experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable.
• Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Mandatory DBS check and Moving and Handling certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, mobility).
• Support implementation of individualised care plans with healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided per policies.
• Assist with light domestic duties (meals, light cleaning).
• Support clients with prescribed medication reminders.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Support the implementation of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
• Assist with light domestic duties including meal preparation and light cleaning
• Support clients with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
• Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required (driving skills are advantageous)

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
• Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in following care plans
• Valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving if necessary
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others' wellbeing
