You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with neurological conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including days, nights and weekends. 40 hours per week.
Where you will be working
Moorlands Neurological Centre is being developed as a neuro behavioural hospital service for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury. The service will support and care for people who, because of their injury, have challenging and complex needs that are preventing them from making further progress with their lives and require a neuro behavioural rehabilitation programme.
