The postholder will support the registered nursing team in providing care and support to our patients on the Inpatient Unit at our Hospice.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for you to develop and enhance your healthcare skills and experience within palliative and end-of-life care, working within our Inpatient Unit.
37.5 hours per week - to be worked flexibly including weekends, bank holidays, evenings/nights

Our Healthcare Assistants support the registered nursing team in providing care and support to our patients on the Inpatient Unit at our Hospice. Working as part of the designated care team, they support the registered nurses in promoting and providing patient-centred care, ensuring at all times the comfort, dignity, and privacy of the patients in our care.
You will be qualified to Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate and have previous care experience. The role will be part of a dedicated team of professionals, who will also be able to work under their own initiative to ensure the highest standard of care. A can-do attitude with strong communication skills will be required.
You will be required to deliver a high standard of direct patient care, assisting the patient in all activities of daily living, with both direct and indirect supervision as delegated by the qualified nurse.
