The position is for between 20-37.5 hours per week. This isflexible for the right candidate and will be discussed during the interviewprocess.
We are looking for a reliable,enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Assistant to work with this forwardthinking service, which provides excellent care and has a passion for improvinghealth outcomes for patients.
Working as a vital part of the practice team, thehealthcare assistant will assist the clinical team in the provision anddelivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
The successful candidate will bea Health Care Assistant who, as a minimum, is trained or is able to be trainedin venepuncture, BP checks, flu vaccines and simple wound care and training forthese tasks can be provided if necessary.
In your role as HCA you willbenefit from our nurse group meetings and regular educational meetings tosupport your learning and development.On appointment you will have a short induction into the service andsupport will always be available when needed from our Clinical Nurse Lead.

JOB SUMMARY: Working as a vital part of thepractice team, the healthcare assistant will assist the clinical team in theprovision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Health Checks
Basic Wound Care
Pre Diabetic checks, including foot checks
Processing and management of laboratory samplesrequested by GPs/nurses
B12 injections and flu vaccinations
BP, weight, height checks
Cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipmentas necessary
Clearing and re-stocking of consulting rooms
Medical consumables stock control and ordering
Preparing and maintaining environments andequipment before, during and after patient care interventions
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance ofpatients health and wellbeing
Undertaking specific clinical activities fornamed patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation tothat individual
Helping to raise awareness of health andwell-being and how it can be promoted
Assisting with the collection and collation ofdata on needs related to health and wellbeing
Escalating clinical and safeguarding concernsappropriately.
