A leading healthcare provider is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant to support the nursing team in Nottingham. The role involves delivering clinical services within a multidisciplinary team, including home visits and various health monitoring tasks. Ideal candidates will possess a Level 3 education in healthcare and relevant experience in primary care settings.

Working under the direct supervision of a member of the nursing team and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines, patient-specific directions, and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will support the nursing team in the delivery of nursing services. As part of the multidisciplinary team, the HCA will deliver care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. This includes undertaking regular home and nursing home visits, therefore a full, clean driving licence and access to a car are essential requirements for this role.
o Phlebotomy including home and nursing home visitso BP monitoring including 24 hr ABP monitoringo Observations: height, weight, BMI, pulseo ECGso Spirometryo Urinalysiso New patient health checkso Health promotiono Ear syringingo Assist with Influenza, pneumococcal and B12 injections following Patient Specific Directionso Wound care and dressingso Chaperoning dutieso Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurseso Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking, ordering and stock rotationo Clearing and re-stocking consulting roomso Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient careinterventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations.o Knowledge of emergency drugs: policies and procedureso Participate in QOF, eHealthscope and CQC work requirementso Annual reviews for QOFo Attends Protected Learning Time eventso Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted including checkingand ordering of leaflets and arranging notice boards and displayso Maintaining high standards of infection control and cleanliness of rooms, equipment and other itemsincluding toyso Clinical Administrationo Carrying out home visits as required and ensuring safe and timely travel to and from patient homes andcare homeso Any other duties within your remit as deemed necessary by your clinical
