Join our dedicated team at The Prince of Wales Hospice, where we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14-bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including a successful Lymphoedema clinic.

Your Role
As a Health Care Assistant, you will:
Support patients with personal care and day-to-day activities
Work under the supervision of Registered Nurses
Assist with clinical tasks appropriate to your level of training
Support to patients, their families and your collegues within the clinical environment
Help us deliver truly holistic care – meeting medical, emotional, social and spiritual needs
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
Compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic
A good communicator and team player
Eager to learn and develop their skills in palliative care
NVQ Level 2 in a care related subject (or equivalent such as the Care Certificate and experience in end-of-life care)
NVQ Level 3 in a care related subject
