We’re looking for someone to join our small, dedicated team providing care and support to people living in Newton Abbot and surrounding areas.
This is a part-time Sunday role, and could be ideal for someone looking to make a bit of extra money, wanting to work around studies, or who has recently retired but isn’t quite ready to entirely give up working just yet etc.
We are a small care provider with a reputation for providing ‘the gold standard of care’. We’re proud of every single member of our team, and we work together to help the people we look after feel supported.
This role will entail providing a variety of support for the people we visit, including (but not limited to) personal care, meal preparation, companionship, sitting services, and accessing the local community.
‘Teign Angels have changed our lives’. This was said by the family of someone we support. If you want to be part of a team that people say this about, then get in touch and we can arrange an informal chat before you make a final decision to apply or not.
Paid travel time, and mileage reimbursement of £0.45 per mile
Does the job role include personal care?: Yes
Sundays, hours and working times are negotiable.
Please note that we are unable to provide sponsorship for international workers.
You will be supported to deliver all responsibilities in your role. We deliver our training ourselves with our in-house training facilitators. We cover a wide variety of training topics, going far beyond the statutory minimum. And by delivering it ourselves, it means we can get to know your learning style, and relate the content to real-life examples we come across in our care provision.
We have a strong, stable team with us: over half of our current team has been with us since our first 6 months (nearly 9 years ago!). We build up regular care and support teams for everyone we support, so that we get to know people and how they like things to be done.
The successful applicant must have a valid driving licence and access to their own vehicle. We will provide you with a parking permit, uniforms, PPE and other items completely free of charge.
We pay £12.40 for care and support on weekdays (07:00-20:00), then £12.92 for 20:00 onwards and all day at weekends. All bank holidays attract double-time payments.
