We are seeking Healthcare Assistants at our Murdostoun service in Newmains, Wishaw. This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in a specialist brain injury and neurological care setting.

We provide individual assessments and intensive rehabilitation to help people recover from brain injuries, aiming to improve independence and quality of life.

Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre offers care for up to 46 residents. Facilities include a therapy pool, a therapy kitchen, a minibus for outings, and a gymnasium, all designed to support residents' recovery and social engagement. We are proud to be accredited as a provider of specialist Brain Injury Care by the Headway Brain Injury Association.

Working Hours

• Full-time and part-time roles available
• Rotational shifts: days (7:30am - 8:00pm) and nights (7:30pm - 8:00am)
• Permanent night shifts available

Responsibilities

• Build open, two-way relationships with patients
• Support patients with their rehabilitation programs
• Establish effective communication methods with patients
• Assist with mealtimes and personal care as needed
• Report issues to the clinical team
• Accurately record work activities

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in providing person-centred care
• Effective communication skills at all levels
• Experience in care or mental health is advantageous but not essential
• Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS check
