We have an exciting opportunity for aHealthcare Assistantto join ourPrimary Careteam atHMP Belmarsh, a categoryAprison located inLondon.

Hours

The site currently offers a 7 day a week servicewith 11 hour shifts between 7am and 7pm.

Salary

This position isfull time,you’ll receive an annual salary up to £31,017 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
  • Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required

  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
