Job summary

Nurses UK is seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our care team across the South West of England. The role offers full-time and part-time day and night shifts with pay of £13.68–£17.18 per hour plus time and a half on Bank Holidays.

You will work alongside nurses and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, while maintaining high standards and documentation. Weekly pay and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker in the UK is preferred.
• Care Certificate or willingness to complete relevant training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate personal care to patients/service users.
• Assist with daily living activities (washing, dressing, mobility, toileting, feeding).
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to senior staff.
• Support nursing and clinical teams in delivering patient-centred care.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and supportive care environment.
• Accurately document care provided in line with service requirements.
• Promote dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
