Qualifications

• Care experience in care home or home care is desirable.
• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic IT skills for documentation and records.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Driving licence preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving if needed.
• Enhanced DBS security check required.
• Moving and Handling Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, mobility).
• Support implementation of individualised care plans with healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintain accurate care records per organisational policies.
• Assist with light domestic duties including meals and light cleaning.
• Support with medication reminders as directed by professionals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and staff for seamless care.
• Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when needed.

• Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
• Assist with light domestic duties including meal preparation and light cleaning
• Support clients with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
• Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required (driving skills are advantageous)

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
• Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in following care plans
• Valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving if necessary
