Job summary

TTL Recruit Ltd is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to provide high‑quality support in care homes and home care settings. You will assist with daily activities, support care plans, and help ensure clients’ wellbeing with professionalism and empathy.

The role is available on multiple contracts (full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary) and requires good English communication, DBS clearance, and relevant certifications. Driving is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year care home experience (preferred)
• Enhanced DBS required
• Moving and Handling Certificate required
• UK work authorisation (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks and daily living activities
• Support implementation of individualised care plans with healthcare professionals
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and comply with policies
• Assist with light domestic duties including meals and light cleaning
• Support clients with medication reminders as directed by professionals
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and team members to ensure seamless care
• Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Support the implementation of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
• Assist with light domestic duties including meal preparation and light cleaning
• Support clients with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
• Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required (driving skills are advantageous)

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
• Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in following care plans
• Valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving if necessary
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others' wellbeing
