Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Guildford PET-CT team. You will need to demonstrate experience working in a healthcare environment dealing with patients.

You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCAs, and administrative staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to work 40 hours per week. The successful applicant will need experience working in clinical settings or the healthcare environment.

The candidate should have experience in a healthcare environment as they will be required to provide both administrative and patient support, including chaperoning patients and assisting Radiographers during scans. They will also have some administrative duties related to the patient pathway in line with standard guidelines. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, along with IT and administration skills, are essential. Understanding and compliance with radiation protection protocols are also necessary. Excellent patient care skills are crucial.

Attention to detail, flexibility, organization, and an enthusiastic attitude are key qualities for this role.

You must be able to work accurately and efficiently under pressure, meeting deadlines and turnaround times.

The role involves supporting Radiographers during patient scans, assisting patients, chaperoning when necessary, and making telephone bookings for patients attending our services.
