Job summary

Lawford Surgery, a semi-rural dispensing practice with around 5,500 patients, combines clinical and administrative work. The healthcare assistant role focuses on hands-on clinical care including wound care, phlebotomy, venepuncture and ECGs, while also keeping clinical rooms stocked and patient records up to date.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will undertake new patient health checks, act as chaperone when required, assist the GP with minor operations and communicate with patients,

Qualifications

• Care Certificate completed as required by CQC.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Qualified in phlebotomy and venepuncture.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Care Certificate, as indicated by the CQC
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
• Qualified and competent in phlebotomy and venepuncture

Experience

• Experience of working within a GP practice

• Strong clinical skills, including venepuncture and phlebotomy
• Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills
