Job summary

TFP GCRM Fertility - Glasgow is seeking a part-time Health Care Assistant to support the fertility clinic team. You will work with nurses to guide patients through investigations and treatments, while handling administrative tasks and ensuring accurate documentation.

This role requires IT literacy, strong communication, and an interest in Women’s Health. Phlebotomy skills are desirable, and weekend work is rotated. Located in Glasgow, with competitive salary and pension provisions.

Qualifications

The Role:

The post-holder will work under the remit of the specialist nurses, working within the clinic. Main duties are working with the nursing team to support patients on their fertility journey from assisting with initial investigations right through to being present at events following treatments.
Other tasks includea wide range of administrative skills to book patients in for treatment, generating treatment plans and ensuring all documentation is complete ensuring regulatory requirements are met. This role is also a very practical role requiring a dynamic individual who is competent to assist with procedures throughout that journey to include theatre running, phlebotomy and many more tasks.

This is a permanent part-time position working 37.5 hours per week

Weekend working is required on a rotation of 1:4

The Location:

GCRM was established in 2006 and is Scotland's only private IVF clinic. Due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, GCRM has grown and now performs an impressive 800 fresh cycles and 700 frozen cycles per year. We offer a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT. Conveniently located in a business park setting on the outskirts of Glasgow, adjacent to junction 25 of the M8, there is ample free parking for staff & patients at the front of the building.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality care to meet the needs of the patients'

• Under direction, you will develop skills in the instruction, advice and care of couples throughout their treatment process. This involves clinical, theatre and recovery roles

• Phlebotomy

• Patient contact - in person, on the telephone and via email

• Complete patient and group paperwork on time and with accuracy

• Assisting in theatre and recovery

• Other duties as instructed by your line manager

• Administration for management of patient treatment cycles and to assist nursing staff as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant

• IT literate

• Interest in Women's Health

• Good communication skills

• Previous experience in Fertility Clinic or Outpatients department desirable

• Phlebotomy skills desirable

Weekend working required at approximately 1:4
