Circle Health Group's Kings Oak Hospital in Enfield is hiring a Healthcare Assistant to join the Theatres department on a 37.5 hour per week, permanent basis. The role involves assisting with personal care, supporting patients, and contributing to safe, compassionate care in a busy hospital setting.

You should have experience in care or health support, good communication, and be able to follow instructions with basic IT literacy.

Competenze

• Previous experience in a care or health support role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate where needed.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable).
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control and confidentiality procedures.

• Help patients with eating, drinking and nutritional support, documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.

• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, catheter care, pressure area prevention and mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, trolleys, beds and equipment for patient use.
• Work with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.

Salary: Up to £27,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Theatresdepartment.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and equipment in readiness for patient use.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
