Job summary

Your Care Jobs Ltd in Dawlish, South Devon, is hiring two Healthcare Assistants (Days or Nights) for a family-run residential care home rated GOOD by CQC. You will provide compassionate, person-centred support to residents, upholding dignity and safety in a peaceful countryside setting.

One day and one night position are available, each 24 hours per week, at £13.50 per hour plus paid breaks. Minimum six months' care experience required; NVQ Level 2/3 desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working in a care environment
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience supporting elderly residents is desirable

Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate personal care and support to residents
• Supporting residents with washing, dressing, continence and personal hygiene
• Assisting with mobility and transfers where required
• Supporting residents with meals, drinks and daily activities
• Developing positive and meaningful relationships with residents
• Promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
• Observing residents and reporting any changes in their health or wellbeing
• Working closely with colleagues, senior staff and healthcare professionals
• Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
• Supporting a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Working as part of a friendly and supportive care team

We have one day position and one night position available, both offering 24 hours per week.

The Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work as part of the care team to provide high-quality, person-centred support to residents, helping them maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.

About You

• Minimum 6 months' experience working in a care environment
• Previous experience supporting elderly residents is desirable
• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach
• Passionate about providing person-centred care
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to high standards of care
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Willing to support residents with all aspects of their daily care

• A positive attitude and genuine desire to make a difference to residents' lives

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential, provided you have the required care experience and the right attitude.
