NHS – View All Jobs is seeking an HCA for a GP practice role. You will provide routine health care, perform ECG screenings, and support patient health checks under established policies and with referrals as needed.
Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, recording patient data, and participating in practice meetings. Essential: GCSE passes and an HCA qualification; desirable: GP practice experience.
Phlebotomy: In practice Provide routine HCA treatments, within competence, to all patients to agreed practice policies, protocols and guidelines. Provide ECG screenings to practice patients within agreed protocols with referral to general practitioners as necessary. Provide ECG screenings to practice patients within agreed protocols with referral to general practitioners as necessaryAdvise patients on general health care and minor ailments with referral to general practitioners as necessary. To carry out Health Checks to agreed guidelines using practice templates Ensure the maintenance of equipment and stock levels relating to patient care. Maintain stocks of health information leaflets as appropriate. Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and Infection Control measures are met and report any problems to the Nurse Manager. 3. Pathology specimens and investigatory procedures. Undertake the collection of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, wound swabs, etc. Perform any investigatory procedures requested by the general practitioners within competency. 4. Administrative and professional responsibilities. Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team.. Ensure complete and accurate records of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patients computerised medical records.. Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation and records associated with patient health care and registration with the practice. Attend and participate in practice meetings as appropriate.
