Job summary

Waythrough seeks a Health and Wellbeing Nurse to join our clinical team across Forward Leeds sites, with base at Irford House, Seacroft, Leeds. The role involves alcohol assessments, detoxifications, BBV screening and immunisations, and outreach across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with BBV expertise, health promotion and harm reduction experience, and a driving licence preferred for travel between sites. Working hours are 37 per week, with occasional late clinics.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with appropriate qualification and registration (NMC).
• Experience in BBV-related care and vaccination programmes.
• Ability to promote health and reduce harm among service users.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide alcohol assessments and community detoxifications; refer to in-patient or other networks.
• Develop onsite service community alcohol detoxifications with colleagues.
• Coordinate pathways with hospitals for alcohol misuse.
• Provide healthcare assessment across services, including needle exchanges and outreach.
• Coordinate BBV services: screening, vaccination, and treatment pathways.
• Lead Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A immunisation recalls and HIV testing in partnership with specialists.
• Promote harm reduction across needle exchanges and outreach services.
