Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Health Visitor - Mother & Baby Unit (MBU)

The Rosewood Mother & Baby Unit (MBU) is seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic part-time Health Visitor to join their multidisciplinary team.

About Rosewood MBU

Located in Dartford, Kent, the MBU is an 8-bed inpatient service for women from Kent, Surrey, and Sussex experiencing acute perinatal mental health issues.

Role Responsibilities

1. Provide high-standard Health Visiting support to mothers and babies admitted to the MBU.
2. Work collaboratively with health visiting colleagues and the MBU midwife.
3. Contribute to the development of the Health Visiting service within the MBU.
4. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate holistic care independently within the MBU.
5. Deliver support on areas such as feeding, sleeping, safety, development, immunisation, and childcare.
6. Support breastfeeding and facilitate access to specialist support when needed.
7. Assist mothers in developing relationships and attachments with their babies.
8. Lead, liaise, and communicate with internal and external agencies to support mothers and babies, organizing ongoing care at discharge.
9. Provide professional supervision to Nursery Nurses.

Additional Benefits

This post attracts a High-Cost Area Allowance, which is an additional payment due to the location in Dartford, equivalent to 5% of basic salary, with minimum and maximum annual payments specified. The salary listed includes this allowance.
