Job summary

Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Health Visitor to join a newly formed 0-19+ Team in Crewe on a 12‑month fixed-term contract.

The role is Monday to Friday, 9–5, and focuses on delivering the Healthy Child Programme, safeguarding caseloads, and working collaboratively with partners to improve child health in the community.

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Health Visitor to join a newly formed team in Crewe working in the 0-19+ Service working for Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. The position is on a 12 month fixed term contract and working days and hours are Monday to Friday 9-5pm.

The post requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable, compassionate and approachable. You will need to have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, be flexible solution focused and support service development. You will be experienced in supporting safeguarding caseloads.

You will work as part of an integrated 0-19+ Team and will be required to support the full delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and be responsible for managing a caseload of partnership plus families. You will also be involved in a range of public health activities within a geographical area, to include individuals, groups and communities.

As a key stakeholder in the safeguarding of children, you will be required to work collaboratively with other agencies safeguarding children and families. You will have a good knowledge of the components of Clinical Governance, Risk Management, Audits and relevant Professional Codes.
