Job summary

Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Health Visitor to join the 0-25 Healthy Child service in Knowsley. You will work within an integrated team delivering the Healthy Child Programme and supporting universal partnership delivery.

The role requires strong communication, leadership and safeguarding knowledge, with the ability to develop services, work with partners and engage families to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing a Health Visiting caseload.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Health Visitor to come and join the 0-25 Healthy Child service in Knowsley working for Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The post requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable, compassionate, and approachable. You will need to have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, be flexible solution focused and support service development.

You will work as part of an integrated 0-25 Team and will be required to support the full delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and be responsible for supporting the universal partnership and partnership plus families.

You will also be involved in a range of public health activities within a geographical area, to include individuals, groups, and communities.

As a key stakeholder in the protection of children, you will be required to work collaboratively with other agencies to meet their needs. You will have a good knowledge of the components of Clinical Governance, Risk Management, Audits, and relevant Professional Codes.

Main duties of the job

To improve health and well-being through identifying health needs, raising awareness of health and well-being, influencing the broader context enabling people to improve their own health. This is achieved through the health visiting contribution to public health which takes account of the different dynamics and needs of individuals, families, groups, and the community focusing on health promotion and prevention of illness, ill-health, and injury.
