Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for a Health Visitor within the Children and Families Health Team based in Kilbirnie Health Centre. The post is a permanent, part-time role for 22.2 hours per week, with a UK driving licence stated as essential.

You will work in partnership with families and colleagues across NHS and partner services to give children the best possible start in life. This role requires registration as a nurse or midwife with post-registration qualifications in Health

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse or midwife with a degree-level qualification.
  • Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register.
  • Masters level qualification in a relevant nursing area, or an equivalent level of knowledge demonstrated through other recognized modules.

Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Visitor within our Children and Families Health Team based in Kilbirnie Health Centre.

Hours And Shift Pattern

22.2 hours to be worked Mon-Fri on an agreed shift pattern.

This post is offered on a permanent basis.

UK Driving Licence

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

North Ayrshire & Social Care Partnership Children & Families Health Team welcomes applications from highly motivated, qualified health visitors. This post will be based in the Garnock Valley Area.

You will work in partnership with families and colleagues in NHS and partner services to enable children have the best possible start in life. The nursing service supports learning and development and as such provides team members with continual learning and development opportunities in line with changing legislation, policy and practice in children's services.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent

Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register

Educated to Masters level in a relevant nursing area, or

Can demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through, for example, completion of NES modules on Assessment.
