Job summary

Central YMCA in Leeds is seeking a Health & Social Care Tutor to join our study programme team. You will deliver Health & Social Care qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2, supporting learners aged 16–19 to achieve enrolment, progression and success.

As part of a supportive curriculum team, you will tailor learning to individual needs, embed digital skills, and provide pastoral support while upholding safeguarding and inclusion best practices within a charity education environment.

Qualifications

• PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training required.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or related subject.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Health & Social Care qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2.
• Provide engaging, practical teaching for learners aged 16–19.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate learner records.
• Provide pastoral support and embed digital skills.
• Collaborate with teams to support English and Maths achievement.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
