Dudley College of Technology in Dudley, West Midlands, seeks anexperienced Health & Social Care Cover Instructor to provide high-quality classroom cover, learner support and pastoral intervention across Health and Social Care programmes.

You will work with curriculum managers and staff to ensure continuity of learning during staff absence and to support students’ progression into employment, apprenticeships, higher education and careers in health and social care.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification would be an advantage or a commitment to undertake this within the first year of employment.

Health & Social Care Support Coach & Cover Instructor

£31,714 - £34,454 per annum

In order to continue to build our highly successful provision we are seeking an experienced, dynamic and inspirational Health & Social Care Cover Instructor who shares our passion for outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will provide high-quality classroom cover, learner support, academic coaching, and pastoral intervention across Health and Social Care programmes. You will work collaboratively with curriculum managers, teachers, and support teams to ensure continuity of learning during staff absence and to provide targeted support to learners requiring additional academic, attendance, wellbeing, or progression support. You will act as a positive role model, supporting students to develop the professional behaviours, skills, and attitudes required for progression into employment, apprenticeships, higher education, and careers within the health and social care sector. You will support learner retention, achievement, attendance, and progression through effective intervention and coaching.

A teaching qualification would be an advantage or a commitment to undertake this within the first year of employment is essential.
